A meltdown is a reaction to feeling overwhelmed, trying to process too much sensory input all at once. This differs from temper tantrums defined as disruptive behaviors or emotional outbursts that involve physical acts or screaming. Meltdowns are indications you are not aligned with your core. You are off-center and balance. You are at the point of feeling out of control.
According to the oxford dictionary, control is defined as the power to influence or direct people's behavior or the course of events. Many circumstances in life remind us that control does not belong to us. What belongs to us is the ability to align and balance our core.

There is a scientific explanation for the connection between our emotions and what we smell. This connection has to do with our olfactory system, or sense of smell and the amygdala which is a part of the brain that acts as our emotional processing center. These direct connection triggers memories and emotions or cause us to feel a certain way.
This is the first year I will not have my dad for Father’s Day. Wow, we know, it’s a day we must all face, however it is a feeling you just can’t explain. Depending on the type of relationship, it probably leaves a bit of emptiness. I have a friend whose relationship was not good with her father. When he passed, unfortunately, she was not able to satisfactory make amends. Now, she lives with this added scar.
I woke up this morning and heard write a tribute to fathers. Like I stated earlier, my dad has gone to be with the LORD. It just reminds me of how important a man he was in my life. As kids we are develop an image of what a father should emulate. However, no father is perfect, I think mothers get more of a pass on that than fathers. We expect them to walk in perfection. As kids when we looked up at them, they seem to be like giant. A giant defeating anything bad that came across their path.

Feelings of distress, exposures, mistrust, powerlessness, and worthlessness. Shame as defined by Wikipedia. An article in Psychology Today defines shame as a concealed, contagious, and dangerous emotion. The article states it is an internal state of inadequacy, dishonor, or regret. Shame can be brought on by what others or circumstances say about or do to you. The other culprit is coping internally with failure. Guilt is not the same as shame. Guilt is an emotional experience that results from wrongdoing or action taken. Shame is attached to a person’s identity, while guilt is attached to a person’s actions.
